WHAT WE BELIEVE
I believe in God , the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth and in Jesus Christ, His only Son our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen

Vision As A Picture:
God, in His great Wisdom, has chosen that there should be
special places in our world where people whom He is seeking might find Him.
God wants these places be like an oasis in the dry desert world.
Faith Lutheran is one of these unique places.
Here, in this place, God has dug a well deep and wide
and filled this place with an abundant an inexhaustible supply of water –
Living Water, the Water of Life.
This water fills my well.
You have tasted it too.
It has quenched your thirsts, healed your hurts,
and refreshed your souls with the transforming Grace and love of God.
Now we, people of this place, have been given a great mission:
to search for and welcome people needing the living water of God.
We will engage them here and in our community.
They can all drink from the well.
One by one we will serve them here and in the community,
until their hurts are healed, their lives are rejuvenated,
and they can be equipped for the Great Adventure
of living their lives for Jesus Christ.
To put it simply, "We exist to establish the Kingdom of God in
Sugar Land, Texas!"
Since the Mission of the church is already given in Matthew 28, we believe:
"God is in this world reconciling the world unto Himself, and He has given us this ministry of reconciliation. Therefore, we will take Him at His word, trust Him with our lives and give His love away."
"I will Be His child, honor Him in all I Do, wherever I Go."
We believe "Churches grow when they intentionally reach out to others and churches die when all they do is take care of themselves." (Bill Easum)
We believe in the simplicity fo the Bible; God uses it to reveal faith in Jesus Christ, compel us to trust Him, and change our world through us.
When Peter was in the boat, wind and high waves surrounded him as Jesus called to him to "Come". When he stepped out of the boat he walked on the water as long as he had his eyes on Jesus. When he was distracted by the wind and looked away, he began to sink, and Jesus reached out to him. Peter, like us, was human. Many times we get distracted and begin to sink. Faith Lutheran, taking Jesus' model, reaches out to bring all into the loving arms of Jesus.
We value welcoming our visitors and members iinto our church and our homes to share together our food, our conversation, and our love for one another. This follows the biblical models of caring for others by using the gifts of the Holy Spirit and demonstrating the fruit of the Spirit in our lives.
We seek to build a community of friends of all people that God puts in our pathways, regardless of any ethnic, social, economic, or religious groups that they belong. We will pass God's love freely to everyone, so that, through community, they too may be healed.
A story, a praise report, an experience we have had can bless others and bless God. The Holy Spirit is moving in our lives and we have responded. With God working in our lives we will have many stories to bless our Lord and others.
The Holy Spirit:
The Holy Spirit empowers and guides believers into all the truth. We value the presence of the Holy Spirit and His empowerment to accomplish more that we can ask or imagine for the glory of God.
